Designed for experienced users of Articulate Storyline 360, this fully online two-day workshop dives deep into the advanced features and techniques that bring interactive learning to life.

Delivered live via Zoom, the course is ideal for L&D professionals, educators, and eLearning developers ready to move beyond the basics and build truly dynamic, adaptive digital experiences.

Through a series of hands-on projects and expert-led demonstrations, you’ll master powerful tools such as variables, custom interactions, branching scenarios, and game mechanics. You’ll also explore how to create engaging assessments, software simulations, and immersive 360° environments — all with an emphasis on learner engagement and real-world relevance.

Whether you’re building bespoke client solutions, enhancing compliance training, or looking to elevate your team’s in-house eLearning capabilities, this workshop will equip you with the skills to design with confidence, creativity, and impact.

This virtual classroom takes place via Zoom – Licenses for Articulate 360 will not be provided. Free 30-day trials for Articulate 360 are available and should be registered/installed onto your device prior to class.

Further Information

This is an advanced-level training course designed for individuals who already have a basic working knowledge of Articulate Storyline 360.

To get the most out of the training, participants should already be comfortable with:

  • Navigating the Storyline 360 interface

  • Creating slides and layers

  • Adding and configuring basic triggers

  • Working with timeline, states, and simple animations

  • Previewing and publishing projects

No prior experience with JavaScript is required, but a willingness to explore basic code snippets will be beneficial.

If you’re new to Storyline or have only used it occasionally, we recommend attending our Storyline 360 Essentials course before progressing to this level.

Game-Based Learning, Software Simulations, and Immersive Virtual Tours

Put your advanced Storyline skills into practice by developing a complete game-based learning experience, followed by creating practical software simulations and interactive 360° image tours.

Morning

Building a Game-Based Learning Experience

  • Design and build a complete interactive game based on a popular TV game show format

  • Apply key techniques from Day One, including animations, custom states, variables, and JavaScript

  • Explore techniques for balancing gameplay with learning outcomes

  • Build scoring and feedback systems using number and text variables

Afternoon

Software Simulations Using Screen Recording Tools

  • Explore Storyline’s screen recording modes for “Show Me, Guide Me, Test Me” scenarios

  • Capture application workflows and turn them into interactive learning steps

  • Layer instructions, feedback, and testing elements for real-world relevance

360° Virtual Tours

  • Use Storyline’s 360° image feature to build immersive scene-based learning

  • Add hotspots, markers, and linked interactions

  • Discuss best practices for using virtual tours in onboarding, health & safety, and workplace familiarisation contexts

This is a live virtual training event delivered via Zoom. To ensure you have the best possible learning experience, please make sure the following requirements are met before the course begins:

  • Zoom Installed
    You will need to have the Zoom desktop application installed on your computer. We recommend using the latest version to ensure compatibility with screen sharing and breakout room features.

  • Articulate Storyline 360 Installed
    Participants must have Articulate Storyline 360 installed and ready to use prior to the training.

    Please note: Licences for Articulate 360 are not provided as part of this training.
    If you don’t already have access, a free 30-day trial of Articulate 360 is available from the Articulate website.

  • Laptop or Desktop Computer (Windows only)
    Storyline 360 is a Windows-based application. You’ll need a Windows PC or a Mac with a Windows environment (e.g. Boot Camp or Parallels). Tablets and Chromebooks are not supported for this training.

  • Stable Internet Connection
    A reliable broadband internet connection is essential for participating in live sessions, sharing your screen, and accessing downloadable resources.

  • Headphones and Microphone
    For clear audio during discussions and activities, we recommend using a headset with a built-in microphone.

  • Class registrations cancelled more than 15 days prior to the class date will be issued a refund, less an administrative fee equal to 10% of the total class price.
  • Class registrations cancelled within 14-8 days prior to the class date will be issued a refund, less an administrative fee equal to 30% of the total class price.
  • Class registrations cancelled within 7 days of the class date will not receive a refund, but we will do our best to hopefully book you on a future class.

What if I need to reschedule (e.g. due to illness)?

We allow one class reschedule per registration. The new date must be one already listed on our schedule, but it doesn’t have to be the next available class. You are also welcome to substitute a different student in place of a purchased seat if needed.
