During the workshop, we explored several techniques that we can employ when developing user experiences in Articulate Storyline 360 to connect with live data sources. By processing information, such as in JSON format, into Articulate Storyline variables we can then control the message, instruction, or support that each user receives based on any specific parameter, thus opening the door to creating highly personalised and adaptive user experiences at the macro learning experience level.

Adaptive learning is expected to play a big part in AI’s revolution of online learning, and as eLearning developers we have many exciting new opportunities to work with such as the OpenAI platform that can help us to process large volumes of learner experience data to develop customised and bespoke learning pathways for individuals.
