HTML + CSS Alone Can Achieve Some Pretty Amazing Things.
Twitter knows all too well at this point that I am a big fan of creative uses of CSS in web UI design! It was for that very reason why I was recommended This Tweet in my timeline to a designer I had yet to discover by the name of Mert Cukuren.
I really liked his use of colour and the fluidity of the transitions that take place during both the mouse hover and click on the menu elements. It very much reminded me of some of the things we have been doing in Articulate Storyline 360 lately with our most recent Storyline Magic Series video tutorial covering smooth mouse-hover zoom transitions.
So I decided to try recreating the whole project in SL360 as close as possible to Mert’s design, and though I think the effect looks much better (and of course is far lower on overall file size) in his example, I still feel the end result is pretty good and worth sharing! (The project file for this will be made available to download very soon from our Articulate Storyline Templates page.)
