Though the Barcode Battler system had a limited run in Europe, the device was most popular in Japan, where its gameplay mechanic ultimately went on to inspire other turn-based battle franchises such as Pokemon Red / Blue for the Nintendo Gameboy.
This Articulate Storyline game was originally created as an entry to an online game development competition in January 2018, this version has been tailored specifically for the eLearning Heroes community.
