Using The API – Connecting AI Agents To Storyline Data

Once your site’s public API endpoint has been setup for accessing variable data generated by your Articulate Storyline 360s, you can provide access to any solution including those external to your platform for accessing the data for use in agentic contexts.

For example, if you have an Elevenlabs accounts you can easily provide a realtime voice agent access to the data in order to then run queries pertaining to the data itself.

In the example shown below, we have used the eLearning Magic Toolkit API as part of a custom function that the agent is able to run at any time in order to access the information it requires from our platform. Creating an HTTP GET method means that the tool expects that it can simply access and return data from the source, which is exactly what the eLearning Magic Toolkit API was designed to provide!

You can also use the endpoint to feed other externally hosted solutions such as the Microsoft Power BI platform for migrating, sorting, visualising, and reporting on custom data coming from your learning experiences. There are so many possibilities that this capability makes possible, and we look forward to seeing what you might come up with using these features yourself!
